John Beemer is an attorney based out of Oakland, CA, whose practice has focused on representing Fortune 500 companies in matters involving premises and products liability. Mr. Beemer has also represented individuals and entities in a wide array of practice areas, including intellectual property, contractual matters, personal injury, construction defect, landlord-tenant, professional liability, administrative law, employment law, and criminal defense.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Beemer worked as an industrial designer for a prominent architectural lighting manufacturer. Mr. Beemer has also taught high school chemistry. Mr. Beemer is an avid musician across many instruments and genres. He dabbles in visual art. He reads tons of sci-fi. He also likes to go running too much and takes interesting paths on the trail and in life. EDUCATION Mr. Beemer earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While attending law school, Mr. Beemer served as a law clerk for the California Public Utilities Commission, where he assisted in rule-making proceedings during the emergence of ride-share technologies such as Uber and Lyft. As an undergraduate at the University of Washington, Seattle, Mr. Beemer studied biology and chemistry before going on to receive his B.A. degree in Media Arts and Design as a Presidential Scholarship recipient from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. |
